House Robbers Transfer Funds From Victims Bank Accounts: Osindisweni - KZN
R11000 was cleared from two (2) bank accounts during a home invasion in Osindisweni - KZN a short while ago (Friday).
The 57 year old self employed plumber and his 48 year old wife were alone in the home when three (3) armed suspects entered. The robbers demanded their cellphones and requested passwords to their banking applications. They thereafter transferred cash out of their Nedbank & Capitec accounts. The gunmen thereafter loaded a 50 inch Samsung TV, two (2) cases of Amstel beers and two (2) cellphones into a black Mini Copper (registration unknown) and sped off in an unknown direction.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance at approximately 17:09. Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched and on arrival, found the male victim bleeding from an injury to his head. He was pistol whipped during the robbery. He was treated for his injury by Paramedics, but declined further medical attention.
The victims informed Reaction Officers that the money stolen from their accounts was expected to be utilised for a prayer this weekend.
