The lifeless body of a 21 year old man was discovered in a pool of blood in Mhlasini - KZN yesterday morning (Sunday).

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene after a passerby made the discovery. On arrival, Reaction Officers found the male lying in a prone position. He sustained a stab wound to his neck and bled extensively from his injury. He showed no signs of life & was declared deceased. The fatally injured male was confirmed to be a resident of Mhlasini - KZN.

His relative informed Reaction Officers that the man visited him shortly before his murder. He further explained that the deceased had an injury to his face which he acquired during an altercation with an unknown individual the previous night.

It could not be confirmed the altercation led to his murder.
