A man was seriously injured after he was repeatedly stabbed shortly after leaving a shebeen in Mhlasini - KZN today (Sunday).

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene by a resident of the informal area at approximately 12:11. On arrival, Reaction Officers located the 35 year old male on a footpath between two (2) homes. He was bleeding excessively from stab wounds to his head, neck and forehead. Residents informed Officers that the injured male was seen leaving a local shebeen prior to the incident. He was expedited privately to a medical facility.

Details surrounding the incident were not immediately established.
