A 26 year old man accused of robbing & stabbing a female was severely beaten after he was apprehended by the community in Mhlasini - KZN yesterday afternoon (Tuesday).

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene at approximately 21:36. On arrival, Reaction Officers discovered a large crowd on scene. A man bleeding from injuries to his head and body was found on the ground.

Members of the community informed Reaction Officers that the injured male robbed and stabbed a pregnant female. The victim was transported to hospital prior to the arrival of First Responders. The extent of her injuries were unknown.

The suspects was handed over to the Verulam SAPS.
